Larry Gambone Fonds

Biographical History

Larry Gambone (1945–) is one of the founders of Red Lion Press and helped form the anarchist paper Open Road. Gambone was born on Vancouver Island and was active in the anti-nuclear weapons ‘Ban-the-Bomb’ movement. He attended Simon Fraser University between 1967–1970 and was involved in the campus New Left. He formed a campus IWW branch, and later joined the Vancouver Yippies.

Scope and Content

The fonds consists of correspondence to Larry Gambone and the Red Lion Press. Includes anarchist-themed leaflets and photocopies. Correspondents include Bruce Allen, Leo Baxendale, Frank Fernandez, Frank Girard, Richard Griffin, Larry Law, Mark Leier, Arthur Moyse, Peter Newell, Vernon Richards, Tom Wayman, Tom Wetzel, and Michael William.
